“NUS has the ability to organise and mobilise mass movements”

Dave Bertelli – vice president at University of Plymouth Students’ Union – was one of hundreds of officers and activists at our Student Sustainability Summits this year.

“It was a very interesting event as it gave us full-time and part-time officers the opportunity to discuss what ‘sustainability’ matters to us and how we can champion it on our campuses”, Dave said.

“NUS has the ability to organise and mobilise mass movements across the country on so many different social issues! Sustainability and climate change are definitely a prime cause of concern for our generation and we need platforms and forums to discuss, educate and organise to implement radical change. That’s why an event like the Student Sustainability Summit is crucial”
