We supported a group of Plymouth University students in writing a dissertation on food poverty and food security in hard-to-reach populations across the local community.
With the rising prevalence of food banks across the UK, this was a key opportunity to drive action on environmental sustainability and social justice, while writing a high quality dissertation which they presented on at the British Conference of Undergraduate Research 2015.
“Being part of Dissertations for Good gave me a sense that there was acknowledgement of the importance of projects aiming to make a difference” said Natalie White, BSc Dietetics, Plymouth University. “It can connect people who want to make a difference”.
