We asked employers what sustainability skills they wanted graduates to have

Stat 3 - Employers (300)Students want the skills and knowledge they need to create a sustainable economy, but it’s critical that employers want this too.

That’s why we conducted research with employers for the first time this year, assessing what they’re doing on sustainable development.

We found a mixed picture with some businesses driving ahead with incorporating sustainability into their strategies, whereas others were still taking their first steps with the issue. Despite this, we found that employers think the skills needed for sustainable development are important when it comes to recruiting recent graduates.

Employers are starting to recognise the need for a sustainable economy. This is yet another reason to ensure that our education system shapes graduates with the skills to create it.
